When you turn on the adjustment screw,the spring will apply a downward force against the diaphragm assembly. The downward force will open the supply valve. On the other hand, the output pressure will flow from the outlet port and the control passage chamber. Here, it will create an upward force on the diaphragm
assembly bottom.
When the regulator by Honeytech Controls Pvt. Ltd. approaches its setpoint, the spring force will act on the top area of the diaphragm assembly to balance with the output pressure force. The output force will further act on the bottom area of the diaphragm assembly for closing the supply valve. In contrast, an increase in the output pressure above the setpoint
will cause upward movement of the diaphragm assembly to open the exhaust valve and close the supply valve. Moreover, the output pressure will flow from the exhaust valve and out from the exhaust vent on the unit's side until it goes to the setpoint.
